I partner with purpose-driven organizations and creative entrepreneurs to clarify goals, develop strategies and design systems to achieve them.

My Process

I see complex challenges as interesting puzzles to solve, and I love transforming nebulous gray areas of uncertainty into roadmaps, project plans and visible, tangible next steps. The phases below are a rough outline of my approach to projects and can be tailored to the specific needs of each client.

1. Needs Assessments + Requirements

Getting things out of our heads and saying them out loud in conversation with another person can be an incredibly clarifying exercise in and of itself.

In the Needs Assessment + Requirements Gathering phase, I hold space for a download of the issues at hand as well as aspirational hopes, dreams and goals. With curiosity as my guide, I coax out nuances to get to the root of the issue(s) through questions and prompts.

Needs Assessments and Requirements gathering usually begins with a guided, collaborative 90-minute workshop.

2. Synthesis + Prioritization

Taking the information from our deep dive, I bring it together into a document that paints a cohesive picture of where things are and where they want to go, including goals, audience, scope, resourcing needs and time frame.

Along with the synthesis process, I recommend concrete next steps to support the goals we’ve identified. These may include near- and long-term tasks, as well as items to de-prioritize or let go of altogether.

Synthesis + Prioritization typically includes the delivery of a document with key takeaways and recommendations and one 60 minute session to review and discuss together.

3. Systems Design

The Systems Design phase includes diagramming out all components that make up the system to represent a holistic picture of what we are going to create, including the people , processes, systems and tools that will be involved.

Outcomes of the Systems Design work can include diagrams and/or presentations that communicate how the system will work.

4. Implementation

Once we’ve mapped out the system, I can provide varying levels of support, from implementing off-the-shelf solutions to building custom automation processes to vendor management for quality assurance and accountability.

My engagement during the Implementation phase varies depending on project needs.

5. Adoption + Coaching

After the system has been built, I provide training and ongoing coaching services to ensure successful adoption.

Adoption and coaching can be done on an hourly or project basis.

About Me

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, went to college in Minnesota, studied abroad in Dakar, Senegal, spent a year traveling, got my start as a producer in NYC and now live in Portland, OR.

One of my happy places is in the ocean surfing because it requires intense presence and focus and I find it to be an incredibly meditative experience to be immersed in such a dynamic environment.

I have a special place in my heart for street dogs, and have fostered 16 and "foster failed" two of them (which means I fell in love and kept them).

My pronouns are she/her/hers.

My (Work) Background

I love bringing clarity and vision to what feels like an unwieldy jumble of ideas, tasks and dreams, big and small.

As a producer of digital experiences beginning in 2006, I managed interdisciplinary teams to bring ideas to life digitally and physically, focusing on immersive experiences that integrated digital technology and the built environment.

My projects have ranged from websites and product activations for Fortune 50 companies to content-rich, immersive installations and exhibitions for museums and cultural institutions to VR experiences that have shown at the Future of StoryTelling Summit and Sundance’s New Frontier exhibition.

I’m excited to lean into one of my favorite parts of the production process: synthesizing and organizing information into a coherent plan of action, giving structure to chaos and creating a roadmap for the journey.

Land Acknowledgement + Values

While I acknowledge that I am an uninvited guest on the traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River (from Leading With Tradition: Native American Community in the Portland Metropolitan Area), I am also aware that acknowledgement is just one step towards dismantling our system of settler colonial occupation. I am continuing to educate myself to more deeply understand the concrete actions I can take to support Land Back movements in the United States.

I volunteer at the Alano Club, teaching trauma-informed yoga classes to people in recovery. I've found it incredibly helpful to learn how to be comfortable being present with what is, even if it's unpleasant, and using breath and awareness in the body as a tool for getting out of my head when the gremlins of self doubt and critique take over.

I am committed to being actively engaged in ongoing anti-racist education, growth and action at a personal and community level.

I will work to the best of my abilities to ensure that my services are as accessible as possible, and that my clients’ accessibility needs are recognized, honored and met. I welcome feedback on how to improve the accessibility of my offerings and services.

I believe that the universe is abundant. If financial constraints are a barrier, let’s work together to find a solution!
